Founded in 1976, the name Dedar is an acronym formed from Design D’Arredemento. The luxury textile company was started by husband and wife team, Nicola Fabrizio, who had a career as a manager of industrially produced Italian design furniture, and Elda who has always fostered a passion for fabrics and carpets. Today along with the constantly expanding team of 100, the company continues to remain a work of passion for the founding family. Dedar operates directly in Italy, France, US, UK, Russia, Germany, and Dubai and select distributors to serve 70 other countries.
The headquarters of the luxury brand is located in the heart of the Italian manufacturing district which has, for centuries, specialized in the production of the most precious silks and fabrics in the world. This has enabled them to experiment, innovate, and create product perfection through relationships with the craftsmen who are most versed in the techniques of producing such excellent fabrics.
Luxurious fabrics from their collection, along with special fabrics created by Dedar, in collaboration with interior designers are featured in prestigious venues around the world, such as the hotel Costes in Paris, the Robuchon in Las Vegas, and the Skygardens in Dubai.
